Painting a Picture in the reader's head

WALT use our senses in our writing to paint a picture in the reader's head.

Here is an example of my writing. Can you imagine the scene in your head?

I was in the dark, creepy, scary forest. I was lonely. I heard a sound a heard birds singing, animals stomping, but I fell and I hurt myself. I ran. I smelt something and even I taste something.” I smell fresh air, rotting leaves, animal manure I taste pollution.

  1. Hi Zahrah
Nice piece of writing. Thank you for sharing it with us.
You have used some great describing words to help me imagine how you felt in the jungle. I also like the way you have used short sentences, they are a perfect way build up the excitement, or in this case the suspense.
I would really like to know if you were being chased when you fell over or just really scared and tripped?

Look forward to reading more of your blogs
